june-6 asked: heey, idk if you remeber meee when i asked you about the insanity workout but anyways, i wanted to see if it was a good idea to pause the insanityy. im on the second month... but i feel that if i just turn myy fat intoo muscle im gonna still be like thick, im not fat fat but i need to loose some weight, should i get in a diet for like a month like strict diet see how much i loose, and then start the second month? :) thankyou.
Well fat doesn’t turn into muscle, you burn fat and then your body builds muscle so I don’t think you have to worry about being “thick”. What I ended up doing is starting Insanity over (just finished week 1 again) and then tomorrow I’m going to start the “Quantum Wellness Cleanse”. I’m not really doing it to lose weight, just cleanse and see if there’s any foods I have an intolerance to. What it is: you cut out sugar, alcohol, caffeine, gluten & animal products for 3 weeks. By sugar I mean added sugar not fruit or anything that naturally has sugar in it. I’m taking the cleanse a step further and starting tomorrow through next Sunday I’m only going to be drinking juice. Real juice (I have a juicer) with TONS of fruits and veggies in it not the store bought stuff although if you don’t have a juicer you could try the Naked juice but I wouldn’t go a full week off of just those (maybe 2-3 days tops) because they aren’t as full of nutrients as making your own. Anyway once I’m done with the 3 week cleanse I’m going to go back to eating super healthy and hopefully stick with it and not fall back into eating what my husband eats haha. You can get all the info about the cleanse if you’re interested from the book. It’s called “The Quantum Wellness Cleanse” by Kathy Freston. It’s really the only type of cleanse I would ever recommend since most aren’t all that healthy. If that’s too extreme for you then just try eating clean. Protein with a complex carb at every meal, watch your portions, and eat 5-6 times a day & don’t forget to drink TONS of water (I do a minimum of 3 liters a day but usually I’m at about 5 liters).
